Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is an abstracted visual tribute to the tranquil and immersive beauty of Kyoto’s famed bamboo grove. Captivated by the towering, rhythmic verticals and shifting light within the forest, I reinterpreted the scene through bold colour contrasts, layered textures, and dynamic forms.

Using a combination of airbrush and hand-painting techniques, I aimed to capture both the serenity and energy of this natural space. The interplay of luminous greens, deep shadows, and vibrant accents evokes a sense of movement and timelessness—an invitation for viewers to lose themselves in a contemplative moment within nature.
